Lute FP Not sure what this is. Hard rock for sure, with a nice bottom end accompanying the constant riffage. A lot of “post” somethings come to mind, but the overarching aesthetic is stoner rock with an almost ‘00s alternative /nu metal sensibility at times. Killer vocals that can verge on anthemic, and the accomplished songwriting wraps everything into a nice, tight package.

Colin M. I enjoyed the heck out of Pslip, so this was a no-brainer. Sierra deliver again with top-notch stoned out 70s-styled prog rock. Favorite track: Rainbow's End.

Jason Renslow Seriously, Sierra is one of my favorite bands. The solos sound better on this album and the songwriting is just as good as it was on Pslip. Great sound, total package.

The Mirror

About the World

How many times have I closed my eyes
And made me believe
The things I do will shine through?
In how many dreams have I heard you scream
“Do it all again”
Only to disappoint you?

Like a loon in the water in a northern town
I’m going crazy from waiting ‘round
The world keeps moving on
The Sun and the Moon, the Earth and the Sky
All the ancient clouds roll by
Someday they’ll be gone

Little boys and little girls
What you know about the world?

Falling

I’ve lost touch with everything
Who I am, where I’m going
I woke up in a sterile room
Fallen leaves crisp on the ground
I can’t recall them ever falling
Northern snow comes into view

All I recall was losing touch
Lost my head face down in a mirror
Pslipping through it, killing myself
Falling
One more line, I’ll feel it this time
Call it a night, take a cab home
But I woke up months in the future
Falling

I’ve lost touch with everything
Who I am, where I’m going
But I recognize this mass confusion
Tell me more, talk to me
Who am I? Where was I going?
Blinding light obstructs my view

Out of Parts

I’m passing out now
Out of my soul and into my mind
Pslip into the dream

You crossed the line the second time
The only way you pass the day

I’m tripping out now
Out of my soul and into my mind
Pslip into the dream

I’m waking up now
Out of my soul and into my mind
Pslip into the dream

Remember

You seem so far away
You lost touch after the third time
Always falling back to where you started

These false surroundings
Pushing you down, holding you back
From your destined reality

You say you’re starting to burn out
You seem fine
Remember… you’re home
You had to swallow the truth that
It was lies
Remember… you’re home
A sore sight
Not a star in the sky
Remember…

Always falling
Pick yourself up
You’re in way too deep

In Circles

Ride it out
On a stormy afternoon
Rise and fall
Be it day or moon

Shadows of mankind drift beneath the sea
Bloody whales on the hands of you and me
Cut and burn amazon for Nestle’s sake
The children grow fat
“Give me a break”

Extinction for ever
Never seen again
Extinction forever

Some can’t, some won’t
Stop for a minute
Would you put a knife to
All the things you’re stealing?

Earth runs in circles
We are in the way

Queenslip

Breathe with my head under water
Fly right to the sky
Keep my cool in the fire
As long as you’re by my side

I’ve lost the sky
I can hear a pin on the moon dropping
Back to the light
All at once it turns into nothing

Bubbles blown to the air
When it bursts does it hurt
Or does it not even care?

See who you were before monsters
All of this before change
Smiles and faces of long ago
Sniff the pslip to my brain

The Last Time

I’ve used them up again
That was the last time
Lost in your mind
The voices disappear
They die

Let luck decide

I lied to their face
That was the last time
Trapped in your cell
They fly away
Goodbye…

It is a long road (Did you get there…)
On your own? (All alone)
It is a long road (Did you get there…)
All Alone

Once again you fall (You cried to them)
To them all
To yourself you crawl (To yourself)
Against the wall

The Mirror

Instrumental

Rainbow’s End

Standing in the neon crowd
I get a vision
I’ll dismiss those going around
Ruling our decision
Then rising a million miles high
Looking down on all of it
I decide

If you don’t fit into this world
It’s because you’re supposed to change it
You’re the one we’ve been waiting for
To come along and fix it
Keep your head up high
See all you can see
Keep running toward the rainbow’s end
Pslip into the dream

You don’t have to shake a hand
That you don’t want to
You don’t have to understand
If you don’t want to
You don’t have to be correct
If you don’t want to
You don’t have to show respect
If you don’t want to
